How To Play Chen Zhi In Mobile SanGuoSha
In the mobile version of SanGuoSha, where Jeetbuzz App Download style discussions often follow the release of new generals, Chen Zhi arrives as a year end benefit character with a surprisingly distinctive design. He is known not only for voice lines that echo Pang Hong’s tone, but also for his unique extra turn mechanic that revolves around delegation and repeated actions. On paper his skills look straightforward, yet in practice he is difficult to pilot well, making him a classic example of simple mechanics with a high learning curve.
Chen Zhi’s first skill Quan Chong is the absolute core of his kit. Once per round, during the end phase, he must discard all cards he has, including hand cards and equipment, and then immediately take an extra turn. This alone is already painful, as it forces him to enter the extra turn completely empty handed. Unfortunately, the downside does not stop there. If his current HP is not the single highest on the field, he loses one HP at the start of that extra turn. With only three base HP, meeting the condition of having strictly higher HP than everyone else is extremely difficult, which means he almost always bleeds one HP every round. As this is a locked skill, he cannot opt out, leaving his survivability hanging by a thread.
This is where his second skill Ren Xing becomes critical. Limited to twice per round, whenever a card is discarded outside of the discard phase, whether through effects like dismantle, fire attack, or other skills that involve discarding, Chen Zhi may choose to draw one card along with the current turn player, or discard one card from a character who has not used Slash that turn. Because Quan Chong forces a full discard at the start of the extra turn, Ren Xing is very easy to trigger and usually allows Chen Zhi to recover at least two cards for himself. The skill feels somewhat reminiscent of Wen Gua or Rui Lian, but with stricter limits and far lower consistency.
In a typical round, Chen Zhi plays out his normal turn by emptying his hand, enters the extra turn at low HP, triggers Ren Xing to refill cards, draws again, and hopes to stabilize. Even in ideal situations, his maximum gain per round is roughly four extra cards and one additional attack, while the downside is chronic HP loss and an inability to store resources. In the current environment, this tradeoff is hard to justify.
Overall, Quan Chong often provides less value than a single well timed observation skill from other characters. Chen Zhi struggles to build equipment advantage, suffers heavily from area damage, and feels fragile outside his turn. His main flaws are losing HP too easily and an overly restrictive second skill. With minor buffs he could improve significantly, but as things stand, he is more of a novelty pick. From a long term perspective shaped by Jeetbuzz App Download style player experience, Chen Zhi is better treated as a character to experiment with rather than a reliable choice, and most players are advised to watch and wait before committing.
